Hawkflight

This was my first attempt to find a digital equivalent of the techniques I used when processing celluloid from the 1970s through the 90s.  With digital there is actually a greater range and far more precision than is possible with chemistry, however there are still many aesthetic surprises and delights.  These are the colors inherent in the world and provide a different way of looking at a moment in time.

Also, I’ve been a birder for over 30 years. For a long time, it was my secret passion and escape. This is my first film about the extraordinary beauty of birds.
